Hampi, Anegundi and Hippie island from Hyderabad by two wheeler (2 days/3 nights)

Hampi is considered the capital of the Vijayanagar empire in the 14th century. It is located at the banks of the Tungabhadra river in the eastern part of central Karnataka. It is 384km. away from Hyderabad.  If you have a scooter then also you can manage to go by your vehicle. But just remember you have to take 15 minutes to break for every on average of 80km (depending on the capacity of the scooter). So, let's plan our Hampi trip for the weekend.

According to Ramayana, Hampi, Hippie, and Anegundi, altogether considered as Kishkindha. Kishkindha is the kingdom of Vanaras (apes) who helped Lord Rama to find out abducted Seeta Mata.

Here I am considering my vehicle as Honda Activa (125cc Scooter) and I am planning to leave from Jubilee Bus station which is considered as the central point of Hyderabad twin cities.

Day 0:

18:00  - Jubilee Bus station is our starting point

20:00 - Take a dinner and fuel break at Mahbubnagar.

20:30 - Leave Mahabubnagar.

22:00 - Reach Raichur. Take a night halt at Raichur. Here you can get hotels from Rs. 600 - 2000. Please remember, if you are planning to take a night halt at any place, please book your accommodation a minimum of 2 hours before you reach your destination.

Day 1:

4:00 - Leave from Raichur.

5:30 - Reach Sindhanur. Have a fuel and coffee break at Sindhanur.

5:45 - Leave Sindhanur.

7:15 - Reach Anjanadri hill.

According to Hindu Dharma, Hanuman was born to Anjana and thus Hanuman was also called Anjaneya, and his birthplace Anjaneyadri (Anjana's Hill).






9:00 - Come down and have breakfast.

9:30 - Explore Hippie island. 




11:30 - Go to Hampi.

11:15 - Visit Virupaksha temple. 




12:15 - Reach back to the ferry point.

12:30 - Come back to Hippie Island. Have lunch.

13:15 - Head to Vijaya Vittala temple

14:00 - Reach Vijaya vittala temple, Sugriva's cave, Narasimha temple, Ranganatha temple, Varahaswami temple, Yantrodharaka Anjaneya Swamy temple. Then do the Hampi Carocale ride.

17:30 - Visit to the main center of Hampi, book a room, and keep your luggage.

18:00 - Reach to Hemakunta hill to experience the sunset. 

For today take rest.

Day 2: 

5:00 - Climb to Matanga hill to experience the sunrise. 

7:00 - Come back to your room fresh up and visit Virupaksha temple, Hampi Bazar, and Achyutaraya temple. 

9:00 - Have breakfast. 
Then visit Kadalekalu Ganesha, Sasivekalu Ganesha, Lakshmi Narasimha temple, Queen's bath, and Mahanavami Dibba, Hazara Rama temple, lotus mahal, Elephant stables, and Zenana Enclosure.

13:00 - Come back to your room and have lunch. Take a short nap.

14:30 - Visit the Archeological museum.

15:30 - Leave Hampi

17:00 - Halt at Sindhanur for a small break.

17:15 - Leave fro Sindhanur.

19:00 - Halt at Raichur for a small break.

19:15 - Leave Raichur.

Day 3:

6:00 - Leave Mahabubnagar

Ahobilam in one day

Ahobilam is traditionally regarded as the place where Vishnu in the form of Narasimha killed the  rakshasa   Hiranyakashipu  in order to save his devotee Prahlada.
